Topaz sharpen ai plugin7/3/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() I will post here if there is any useful information. It will be interesting to see if they are able to help. With the latest version of Denoise it is possible to work with RAW files so I would probably select a DNG file to process in Denoise. I tried this by following his suggestions and selecting – “This PC > LOCAL DISK (C:) > Program Files > Topaz Labs LLC > Topaz DeNoise AI > Topaz DeNoise AI.exe” and it works! J.Ī good suggestion to pin a copy of the Denoise.exe file to somewhere more accessible than buried deep in the folder structure. If I then check Capture One, then the Topaz ICONs and Applications are now listed under the Edit/Open With menu option and also the Preferences > Plugins” Now if I select the image, right click and and choose 'Open with', the Topaz application is now INCLUDED within the available applications listed. This is what he wrote – “If from WINDOWS Explorer I find an image file, I chose a tiff file, and right click and choose 'Open with' > 'Choose another app', then scroll to the bottom of the presented list and choose 'More apps', scroll to the bottom of the presented list again and choose 'Look for another app on this PC' and then go a find and select the Topaz application that was NOT initially listed in the open with list of apps. I did some searching and found this article in the Capture One Forum - You need to scroll down almost to the end to see where the guy eventually identifies a way to add Topaz applications as plug-ins to Capture One. Topaz confirmed that it should not be an issue on Windows, but didn't elaborate as to how I might make it work. That being said, it's high on our priority list so we anticipate finding an alternative to this as soon as possible.” We are working with Apple directly to resolve this conflict, but it's not as straightforward as it might seem. This is due to another conflict we are trying to prevent that allows a user to accidentally overwrite their original file. DeNoise AI has worked as a plugin for C1 for several years but version 3.3 will not work with non-Adobe apps on MacOS right now. I received a reply saying – “DeNoise 3.3.4 will not function as an external editor from C1. I contacted Topaz explaining that I'm not able to get DeNoise to work as a direct plug-in with Capture One 22. ![]() May be someone else has a faster way of using Denoise AI as a plug in in C1? ![]() I compared the results with the case of setting Luminance Noise slider to zero (and the Details slider to maximum) in C1 and then using Denoise AI, but I could not see significant difference. My experience is that you can leave the C1 noise reduction to default values before you import Denoise AI. The advantage of importing in C1 is that you can do additional corrections on the TIF file within C1 after applying Denoise AI (the same by the way with the other Topaz programs Sharpen AI and GigaPixel AI). I did this way and that makes the workflow faster. Note however that I am using C1 version 12, so not the latest generation 20-21-22).Ī way for faster browsing is to pin the location of the program files to the Windows task bar (don't know about Mac). So far no alternative for 'my menu' "Open Image With" in C1 and then browse in program files and select Topaz Denoise AI (C:\Program Files\Topaz Labs LLC\Topaz ( program name). I may be wrong but I'm sure there must be a way to get Topaz Denoise to appear in this list so that I don't have to browse through my folder structure. Clicking on one of these will directly open the item as a plug-in. When I click on 'open with' I see a number of options such as Imaging Edge Desktop, Microsoft Office, Photos, Windows Photo Viewer, etc. This works OK but does necessitate plodding through the folder structure within Windows explorer. He suggested that within C1 I right click on an image thumbnail (or look in the Image drop down menu), click on 'open with' and then browse for the Denoise.exe file. A little while ago Ab S was kind enough to give me instructions about getting Topaz Denoise AI to work as a plug-in with Capture One 22. ![]()
